Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese contemporary artist who is primarily known for her work in sculpture and installation, but is also active in painting, performance, video art, fashion, poetry, fiction, and other forms of art. She was born on March 22, 1929 and is 93 years old. She was born in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan and was the youngest in her family. She is best known for her extensive use of polka dots in her art pieces and for her other-worldly infinity installations.
